Quick Overview

Our new Quetzal beaded holiday ornament will be a fun addition to your Christmas tree ornament collection. Hand-beaded by talented Maya artisans, the quetzal bird is the national bird of Guatemala and was venerated by the ancient Maya who viewed the quetzal as the "god of the air". Its name represents “large brilliant tail feather”. The beaded ornament is about 1-1/2 inches wide by 1-3/4 inches tall. The 1-1/2 inch beaded loop makes it easy to hang from your Christmas tree. It’s handmade with primarily green and red glass beads from Czechoslovakia. This beaded holiday ornament makes a great gift for teachers or anyone who appreciates Mayan culture!
